Jeff 'Skin' Wade

Jeff “Skin” Wade is the co-host of 105.3 The FAN’s afternoon drive show ‘The Ben and Skin Show’.

He’s been great friends with his co-host Ben Rogers for 30+ years and the chemistry they’ve developed over the course of that long relationship is a huge part of the show’s appeal.  Ben and Skin came up through the DFW media ranks due in large part to their Mavericks Postgame duties for KTCK, starting back in the 2002-03 season.  As they gained more attention and opportunities, they eventually caught the ear of Program Director Gavin Spittle who hired them to host mid-days on Live 105.3 back in August of 2009.  After a three year stint working mid-days on ESPNDallas they returned to the station that gave them their first full-time radio show in May of 2013.

The son of a basketball coach, Wade’s passion for the game and vast knowledge of the NBA eventually landed him a spot on the Dallas’ Mavericks Broadcast team midway through the 2008-09 serving as a color analyst.  In the last 4 1/2 seasons Wade’s quirky sense of humor and unique style has blended well with the broadcast, and that crew won a Lone Star Emmy in 2012 for Outstanding Achievement in Live/Unedited Sporting Event.  He was also lucky enough to receive a championship ring for the Mavericks glorious run in 2011.

Skin was born and raised in the Metroplex and holds a B.A. in Radio/TV/Film from the University of North Texas.  He’s obsessed with hoops, old-school hip-hop, art flicks and is tolerated by his wife Tricia, and their two kids, Maya and Desmond. His lifelong passion for music led to him start a music production company with engineer Ruben Ayala called EhkoMusic, which has placed songs on multiple major network prime-time shows as well as several major motion pictures. He was also one of the original members of Erykah Badu’s experimental hip-hop ensemble The Cannabinoids.

He’s recently spent a lot of time sucking at golf. He also wears a lot of tee-shirts. Just not while sucking at golf.
