The Texas High School Football Playoffs had us on the edge of our seat a few weeks back. The same can be said about this Cowboys run including a playoff win Saturday. I thought it would be fun to blend the two together.

We begin in Salmon River Idaho. We now know Leighton Vander Esch as the “Wolf Hunter”. Watch these highlights and tell me how he wasn’t recruited?

How about his Linebacker teammate Jaylon Smith. The first highlight has him leaping over his opponent Zeke style. He was quite the High School Running Back.

Speaking of Running Backs, lets check out the man himself while Ezekiel Elliott was at John Burroughs School in Missouri.

As a Junior in High School, Michael Gallup was a pretty darn good QB in Georgia.

Before the University of Colorado, Chidobe Awuzie was a combination Defensive Back/Wide Receiver and Running Back at Oak Grove High School in San Jose.

He looked big even in High School. Whether it was at Rancho Verde High School in Moreno Valley California or currently for the Cowboys, Tyron Smith is always protecting his QB.

Pretty cool dusting off the old tape of these guys and watching the various positions they played during their High School years. Fingers crossed the winning ways continue for these six along with the rest of the Cowboys this Saturday night in Los Angeles.
