DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - With the NFL Draft quickly approaching, Dallas Cowboys COO Stephen Jones says the team is still moving forward with current player negotiations and doesn't see any chance of the team moving up from the 58th pick.

"I'd never rule anything out with Jerry. He might just decide it's time to do something big" said Jones on 105.3 The Fan.

But Stephen doesn't see a move happening. "It took an act of congress to give up a first round pick" said Jones referring to the deal they made to get Amari Cooper.

"There are going to be some good players sitting there when we pick in the second round" said Jones.

When asked about where the Cowboys are with thier current players and the free agents that they have been visiting with over the past few months, Jones said the team continues to work on signing them up.

"We try to take care of most of our needs in free agency" said Jones.

When asked about Dak Prescott with the current news of Russell Wilson getting a record deal from the Seahawks, Jones says you have to be mindful of how much of your cap a QB takes up and that the player has to know the impact that the amount has on winning. Jones added, "We're always open (to extending contracts), there's some pretty active discussions with Dak and Amari."
