DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - An appeals court in Dallas is letting a judge's decision stand in a dispute between Tony Romo and the NFL.

The Fan Expo was formed in 2015 for one purpose, hosting the National Fantasy Football convention. It was formed by former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.

The first convention happened in Las Vegas, at a convention room of a hotel.

Fan Expo invited numerous active NFL players to attend. However, the NFL warned the players that attendance at the event would violate the NFL’s gambling policy and that the players could
be subject to discipline.

The convention was cancelled and the lawsuit was filed.

Because there were video gaming licenses involved, such as a late version of Madden Football where millions of dollars were involved.

A trial judge dismissed the suit, a win for the NFL.

The recent ruling by the 5th Court of Appeals affirms the trial judge's decision.
