Report: Ezekiel Elliott Will Not Play For Cowboys Without New Contract

August 06, 2019 - 8:48 am

DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - Dallas Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott will not play this year as long as a new contract is not done, according to reports.

Ezekiel Elliott's reps say Zeke won't play in 2019 without a new deal, according to ESPN's Josina Anderson.

Jane Slater of the NFL Network says the team has “generous” offers on the table for their QB, RB and WR -- putting each one in the top 5 “highest paid” at their positions.

The Cowboys front office is ready and willing to get the deals done, says Slater, but if the two sides can’t agree on numbers that make more sense, the Cowboys are prepared to play this season with each player on a “prove it deal.”
