Report: Dallas Mavericks Intend To Extend Dwight Powell Contract

DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - The Dallas Mavericks plan to offer Dwight Powell a contract extension Sunday, according to Marc Stein. 

The long-planned contract is three years for $33 million. Powell is expected to accept the terms when free agency opens after 6 p.m. Sunday. 

Powell played in 77 games for the Mavericks this past year, and averaged 10.6 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.5 assists on 21.6 minutes per game.

The extension will kick in for the 2020-2021 season.
