Comparing basketball players from different eras is fun, but it’s tough. The game has changed so much in this young century, never mind looking back to when Red Auerbach coached.

Listen to your team news NOW.

Big men don’t hang in the low post as much now. Three-pointers continue to become more and more important. The list goes on.

That being said, it’s not hard to tell which players could have a big impact in any era. Michael Jordan and LeBron James are the first to come to mind. Another is, of course, Celtics legend Larry Bird.

Apparently, James feels similarly about Bird.

The Lakers forward went so far as to write on Twitter, Bird had “zero flaws in his game,” when responding to a video highlighting some of Bird’s most impressive passes.

This is not the first time James has sang the praises of Bird. In 2017, when James tied Bird with his 59th triple-double, he marveled how Bird was a complete player, not just a jump shooter.

"He's one of the greatest players to ever play the game," James said. "And...he played until he couldn't play no more. Obviously, we know that. He just played until he literally couldn't play the game no more. He gave everything he had. And for young guys that don't know him, they think of Larry Bird as a jump shooter. But he was so much more than that. He was a passer. He averaged double-digit rebounds. He defended. He took charges."

This might be the only time James and Celtics fans are on the same page.
