Only 100 Regular-Season Games Remain At Globe Life Park

August 13, 2018 - 1:46 pm

Believe it or not, only 100 regular-season games remain at Globe Life Park in Arlington.

With the Texas Rangers set to move into the new Globe Life Field in 2020, the club is counting down the number of games left at its current home, Globe Life Park.

A sign on the left field upper suite level facade will keep track of the games remaining.  The sign will be updated during the fifth inning of each Rangers game through next season.  Former players, longtime season-ticket holders and employees and other key figures in the stadium's history will take part in the ceremonial sign unveilings.

Globe Life Park opened as The Ballpark in Arlington in 1994.  It's been the site of 25 postseason games, including six in World Series play.  The stadium was also home to the 1995 MLB All-Star Game.  Going into Monday, the Rangers had played 1,980 regular-season games at Globe Life Park.
