DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Cowboys COO Stephen Jones joined the GBAG Nation for his first weekly appearance of the season on Monday.

When asked about the two key injuries (Zack Martin and Xavier Woods) the team sustained in Saturday night's loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, Jones was optimistic about guard Zack Martin's availability for week one but wasn't about safety Xavier Woods' chances of suiting up.

"We feel good about Zack. I think he hyper-extended his knee. I think we dodged one there and I don't think he'll have any issue playing week one," Jones said. "Xavier will be more week to week. He won't practice or play in a game this week. These hamstrings are ticky and we'll re-evaluate him after each week."

Martin left Saturday's game in the first quarter with an injured knee, but the Cowboys and Jerry Jones were feeling positive about the injury following the game.

105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher reported this morning that the Cowboys were in search of help at safety with Woods, Jamiel Showers (believed to have torn ACL), and Jeff Heath (Ankle) all banged up.

On Twitter Monday, Woods said, "I'll be back. Better than B4."
