DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - Has Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones considered an in-season head coaching change after Sunday's loss to the New England Patriots?

"Again...the answer is no. And period" said Jones in his weekly show with The Fan's Shan & RJ.

Jones said he takes responsibility ultimately because he is not just the owner, but also the General Manager.

“At the end of the day, the buck stops with me" said Jones. "I am highly critical and I’m continually evaluating the performance of everybody involved.”

Jerry also said he wasn’t bothered by NFL Network report linking Jason Garrett to a possible New York Giants coaching gig. He said it’s part of the business.

“It sure didn’t affect what I did the next minute or the next hour or the next morning. That’s part of what we do here” said Jones.

Jones did comment about some of the special teams failures against New England.

“We have some inexperience in that area," said Jones. "It’s not like you’ve had a coach out there coaching for 15 years.”

Shan & RJ also asked Jerry about the comments from head coach Jason Garrett that the team does not use in-game analytics in their decision making process.

"I happen to agree with him" said Jones. "The analytics aspect of it is a history of how these decisions have worked out. That's probably good to know. But the momentum of the game, the situation, of the game, the, if you will in the other night's game, the conditions of the game. All of that are more important in my mind than the success history of making a similar decision. You're dealing with averages, your dealing with almost theory. And you're certainly dealing with a result but it doesn't take into account really the kinds of times when you've gone against every odds and made it work."

In looking forward to the Thanksgiving game against Buffalo, Jones confirms he doesn’t expect to have Leighton Vander Esch back to play, but he doesn’t want to get into LVE’s situation beyond that.
