FRISCO (105.3 THE FAN) - Dallas Cowboys DE Tyrone Crawford has been placed on the injured reserve list and will undergo hip surgery, according to the team.

Crawford is set to have a season ending hip surgery to alleviate issues that have bothered him since last season.

Crawford recently told The Fan's Mike Fisher that he is dealing with problems in both hips.

“Yeah, bursitis,” said Crawford, though it appears the injuries are worse than that.

He said he was “hopeful” that he could keep playing with the injury by using “tons of Tylenol.”

Instead, the Cowboys medical team has determined that season-ending surgery is the solution.
