DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Cowboys COO Stephen Jones isn't aware of any future trouble concerning pass rusher Randy Gregory, however, he admits that the club wouldn't hear anything until the NFL notified them.

During his appearance with the GBAG Nation on 105.3 The Fan, Jones was asked about Jason La Canfora's tweet where he said that he's "hearing there could be more trouble ahead for Randy Gregory."

"We just don't know. With what Randy's been through, it's a challenge for him every day. As for where he is with the league, we won't hear till it's time. We don't hear until it's unfortunately not good news. We don't know of anything right now."

Following the Cowboys loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday night, owner Jerry Jones said that he expects Gregory to play in week 1 against the Carolina Panthers despite the report.

"We just have to go with things day by day there (with Randy)," Jones said. "We wouldn't have him out there (tonight) if we weren't planning on him (playing in week 1)."

Gregory did enough self-improvement work there over the course of his two-year drug-related suspension from the NFL to have satisfied the league, which reinstated him on July 17.

The pass rusher played in just two games in 2016. He missed all of 2017 after a year-long ban.
