Stephen Jones Is Confident Dak Prescott Can Turn It Around

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - It's blatantly obvious to anyone that has seen an NFL football game before that the Dallas Cowboys offense is struggling to score points.

Through three games, Dallas has scored 8, 20, and 13 points, and much of the blame has been placed on the shoulders of offensive coordinator Scott Linehan, who calls the plays. But what about quarterback Dak Prescott's play, and how much of the blame should he carry?

Prescott has had a rough start to the season, passing for only 498 yards and with two touchdowns and two interceptions. In his most recent start against the Seattle Seahawks in week 3, Prescott had a 54.3 quarterback rating, the lowest by far in his three starts this season.

Despite his struggles, Cowboys COO Stephen Jones didn't sound concerned in his weekly appearance with the GBAG Nation on 105.3 The Fan and believes Prescott can turn it around.

"I think he's got all the intangibles that you want," Jones said. "I think he's got all the leadership skills and I think we just have to continue to look for the right game plan, the right situations to put him in that give him opportunities to have success. Obviously, when you look at what we've done the first three games, it hasn't been there, but we'll continue to work to be better."

Jones was then asked if Prescott had the tools to be a star player?

"I just think it's a matter of putting him in the right situations," Jones said. "I think we just have to get him in better rhythms to where he feels good about it, to where he feels we're protecting him. Certainly we're taking some sacks right now in terms of pressure. I just think this thing is going to evolve.

"We have no choice but to get in there and continue to work hard at it, and we just have to execute better."
