DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Stars made a few announcements Thursday on the health statuses of some key players heading into the home stretch.

Center Jason Spezza is out for at least two weeks with a back injury.

"We'll evaluate in two weeks," said Stars coach Ken Hitchcock via the club's website. Hitchcock added that Spezza was injured during the team's loss Sunday at Winnipeg.

Dallas could, however, get defenseman Marc Methot and right winger Brett Ritchie back on the ice Friday when they take on Boston at the AAC.

Methot, who's been out the last four games with a hand injury, went through a full practice Thursday.

The club expects Ritchie to return after missing Tuesday's loss to Washington due to an illness.
