DALLAS ( 105.3 The Fan) - Dallas Cowboys star defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence has been fined $21,056 by the NFL for a low hit in on Saints quarterback Teddy Bridgewater in last Sunday's loss to New Orleans.

This was first reported by NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Lawrence's hit, which came on 3rd and 10 from the Dallas 27 yard line and with just 39 seconds to go in the second quarter, extended the New Orleans drive that ultimately resulted in a 19-yard Will Lutz field goal, instead of what would have been a 44-yard attempt.

The Cowboys were still able to keep the Saints out of the end zone, however, and went into the locker room trailing 9-7.

Dallas would ultimately fall in the matchup, despite holding New Orleans out of the end zone for the entire game, marking their first loss without the opposition scoring a touchdown since 2002 when it happened two times.

The Cowboys will look to rebound from the loss when Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers come to Arlington this Sunday at 3:25 pm.

You can listen to the game, as well as the pregame show on 105.3 The Fan.
