Report: Browns Have Had Discussions With Dez Bryant's Reps About Signing With Cleveland

July 27, 2018 - 3:50 pm

CLEVELAND (105.3 The Fan) - Dez Bryant could be in an NFL training camp in no time.

Just two days after Mary Kay Cabot of said the Cleveland Browns have discussed bringing in Bryant, she's now reporting today that the team has had dicussions with his reps.

According to Cabot's latest report, Cleveland and Bryant's reps from Rock Nation are discussing a one-year deal.

Browns GM John Dorsey told Cabot on Wednesday that he went to a recent workout with Bryant and came away impressed with his talent and his passion.

The Bryant and Browns connection comes about after their No. 1 receiver Josh Gordon announced on Twitter that he would be absent from the start of training camp to focus on his recovery from addictions.

Dorsey wouldn't speculate if Gordon might be suspended or if he was assured by the league that he wouldn't be.

Dorsey previously said the team backs Gordon and plans to place him on the non-football illness list until he's ready to return.
