Report: Bartolo Colon Plans To Pitch Next Season

November 05, 2018 - 2:07 pm

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - If it were up to Big Sexy, he'll pitch in his 22nd season in 2019, Jon Heyman of Fancred reports.

Bartolo Colon, who will turn 46-years-old in May, struggled down the stretch last season after a spectacular start.

Overall, he went 7-12 with a 5.78 ERA and a 1.35 WHIP in 146 1/3 innings over 28 appearances for the Texas Rangers in 2018.

It's unknown if the Rangers would have an interest in bringing back the veteran. Texas only has Mike Minor penciled into the rotation for next season.
