DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Per a report from Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News, the Texas Rangers have agreed to terms on a one-year $5 million contract with free-agent infielder, Todd Frazier, pending a physical.

Per Grant's report, the move to sign Frazier does not mean the end of the Rangers' pursuit of star third baseman Nolan Arenado, or remove them from the free agent pursuit of outfielder Nicholas Castellanos.

Frazier is coming off of a season with the New York Mets in which he hit .251 with 21 home runs and 67 RBI in 133 games. Frazier also had an OBP of .329, a .772 OPS, and a slugging percentage of .443.

A nine-year veteran, Frazier spent the first five years of his career with the Cincinnati Reds, before moving to the Chicago White Sox, and the New York Yankees.

Following his stint with the Yankees, Frazier signed with the Mets, where he spent the last two seasons.

Frazier is a two-time All-Star selection, after being named to the 2014 and 2015 teams during his time with the Reds.
