DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Rangers suffered yet another blow to their pitching staff on Thursday when closer Jose Leclerc was diagnosed with a strained teres major muscle in his right shoulder, the team announced.

Per Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News, Leclerc will be placed on the 45-day injured list.

Leclerc reportedly tried to warm up in the eighth inning of the team's 7-4 win over the Arizona Diamond Backs on Wednesday but was unable to continue due to discomfort in the shoulder.

The announcement comes just three days after starting pitcher Corey Kluber tore the same muscle, and will likely miss the remainder of the season as a result.

Right-hander Jimmy Herget, who spent time with the Cincinnati Reds last season, will be recalled to replace Leclerc.
