DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - If you attend a weekend game at the new Globe Life Field this season you can now expect to get home a little earlier.

On Wednesday, the Texas Rangers unveiled the full schedule for the inaugural season at the club's shiny new roof-enclosed ballpark.

The Rangers announced that ten of the 13 Saturday home games will start at 6:05 p.m. instead of the 7:05 p.m. start time fans have grown accustomed to. The other three Saturday games will be at 3:05 p.m. to accommodate games being broadcasted to a national audience.

Additionally, Sunday afternoon games will now start at 1:35 p.m. rather than the normal 2:05 p.m. start time.

The season finale on Sunday, September 27 vs. Seattle will be a Major League Baseball mandated 2:05 p.m. start.

“Globe Life Field gives us the option to have earlier start times on weekends,” said Rangers Executive Vice President for Business Operations Rob Matwick. “We think these adjustments will be very convenient for our fans.”

The regular starting times for weekday home games will once again be 7:05 p.m. for night games and 1:05 p.m. for day games.

The club will play their first regular-season game at the new park at 3:05 pm. on March 31 against the Los Angeles Angels. The Wednesday, April 15 game against the New York Yankees and the Thursday, May 28 game against the Washington Nationals will also begin at 3 p.m.
