DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Mavericks continued their NBA Draft preparations over the weekend as they conducted a workout with Michigan State big man Jaren Jackson Jr.

According to 105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher, Jackson became the latest prospect to visit with Dallas ahead of the draft this Thursday.

The Mavericks have now spent time with Missouri's Michael Porter Jr., Texas center Mohamed Bamba, Duke big Wendell Carter, European sensation Luka Doncic (in Europe), and now Jackson, as they eye who to select with the No. 5 overall pick. In addition to those players, Fish says he expects Dallas to try and set something up with Duke's other big man, Marvin Bagley.

Jackson has all the tools you want out of a big man in the new NBA. He's 6-foot-11 and has a 7-5 wingspan. He's an athletic big that can put the ball on the floor or knock down the long-ball. Jackson's very versatile defensively and projects as the second best defensive big man in the draft (behind Bamba).

Jackson, who is the youngest player in the draft (turns 19 in September), averaged 10.9 points, 5.8 rebounds and three blocks per game in nearly 22 minutes per game. He also shot almost 40 percent from three.
