DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Mavericks will be among the teams looking for reinforcements upon their return to the court.

According to Marc Stein of the New York Times, Mavericks swingman Courtney Lee suffered a calf injury that required surgery over the break.

Prior to the season being halted, Lee averaged 6.6 points on 50 percent shooting in almost 23 minutes per game in March.

The 22 teams heading to Orlando to complete the season will have a one-week transaction period beginning Tuesday, where they can sign free agents.

According to the Athletic's Shams Charania, players who were on an NBA or G league roster within the past two seasons are eligible to join teams.

Among the notable free agents who are available include DeMarcus Cousins, Joe Johnson, Jamal Crawford, Lance Stephenson, J.R. Smith and Allen Crabbe.

The Mavericks will already be without power forward Dwight Powell (torn achilles), and it's unknown if guard Jalen Brunson will have had enough time to recover from a torn labrum.

Brunson told 105.3 The Fan on May 1 that he wouldn't be able to return to action in June but didn't reveal if he could return to play in July or August.

The season is set to resume on July 30.
