DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Mavericks and Memphis Grizzlies have discussed a trade centered around Chandler Parsons and the No. 4 overall pick in the NBA draft, sources tell 105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher.

This report comes two days after Fish said Dallas would be open to taking on Parsons' bloated contract that pays him $49.2 million over the next two seasons if it included the fourth pick.

That report was in response to a story done by The Athletic, who said the Grizzlies were exploring the possibility of a package deal involving the pick and Parsons.

A source close to Fish said Dallas is willing to make a deal if Memphis is serious about making such a trade, which we now know they are.

Fish says the Mavs will begin negotiations with a suggestion that they take back "future nothingness." That isn't likely to be enough, however, so they would have to offer the services of Wesley Matthews and/or Dwight Powell. In addition to those players, Dallas could also offer a future protected first-round pick.

Reports have suggested over the past few days that Mavs forward Harrison Barnes could be included in such a deal, but Fish says Dallas isn't willing to move him in the deal.
