Luka Donic Sets Another Rookie Record

February 11, 2019 - 3:31 pm

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Mavericks rookie sensation, Luka Doncic, completed another rare achievement in Sunday's win over the Portland Trail Blazers.

Doncic became the first player NBA history 19 years-old or younger to score 1,100 points in a season before the All-Star break, according to Ellias Sports.

That wasn't the only impressive thing he did last night, however, as the Slovenian had his ninth 25 point, five rebounds, and five assists game of his career. Only Lebron James had more as a teenager, the team announced on Twitter.

Earlier this season, Justin Kubatko of StatMuse reported that Doncic became the first rookie since Michael Jordan to record at least 25, five boards and five assists in four straight games.

Doncic and Jordan are the only rookies to have reached the feat since the ABA-NBA merger.

He's averaging 20.8 points, 7.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists per game.
