DALLAS (KRLD) - Texas Tech and Texas are back in college football's Top 25.

After whipping Oklahoma State on Saturday, Tech is at No. 25 in the latest Associated Press college football poll.  The Longhorns also rejoined the rankings after beating TCU on Saturday.  UT is at No. 18.

Texas Tech is in the Top 25 for the first time since last October.  The Red Raiders will try to defend their ranking on Saturday, when they host No. 12 West Virginia in Lubbock.  Texas was ranked No. 23 in the preseason, but fell out after an opening loss to Maryland.  The Longhorns visit Kansas State on Saturday.

TCU fell out of the Top 25 after its second straight loss.  Texas A&M also dropped out of the poll after losing to Alabama.  TCU and A&M did receive votes this week, along with North Texas (4-0), which beat Liberty, 47-7.

At the top of the poll, Alabama picked up 60 of 61 first-place votes to stay at No. 1.  Georgia is next, followed by Clemson, Ohio State and LSU.  The Tigers moved a spot ahead of Oklahoma, which defeated Army in overtime.  Stanford, Notre Dame, Penn State and Auburn round out the top ten.
