DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Former Cowboys kicker Dan Bailey is waiting for the right opportunity and this week could be the perfect time to strike.

After yesteday's games were filled with missed kicks, Bailey is biding his time in the hopes of getting a deal done with the "right contending team," according to 105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher.

Fish had previously reported that Bailey had big money offers from four teams but wasn't prepared to accept any of them.

According to NFL Network reporter Mike Garafolo, the Cleveland Browns, who's kicker Zane Gonzalez went 2-4 on field goals and missed two extra points in Sunday's loss to the New Orleans Saints, were one of the teams Bailey turned down.

A team that could be a match for Bailey is the Minnesota Vikings. Minnesota's rookie kicker Daniel Carlson was 0-3 on field goal attempts, including two missed field goals in their overtime tie with the Green Bay Packers.

Garafolo reports the Vikings didn't want to make a knee-jerk reaction on Carlson and wanted to take a day to think about their options.

Another team that would be a match for Bailey is the Los Angeles Rams. The Rams currently employ one of the best kickers in the NFL in Greg Zuerlein but he was injured in warmups yesterday. Garafolo, however, reports that the team is expected to sign Sam Ficken.
