DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was on with Shan and RJ on 105.3 The Fan this morning discussing last week's win over the Giants and the upcoming matchup against the Seahawks.

"The defense has been the thing that has impressed the most," Jones said about his defense that amassed six sacks against the Eli Manning led Giants on Sunday. A defense that appears to be close to getting better with Randy Gregory and Xavier Woods expected to return soon.

"I'm proud that Randy appears that he's going to be available to us (against Seattle)," Jones said. Jones later added that Gregory and Woods were, "going to have some limitation early (in practice this week), but there is an eye on them being available for the game this weekend in Seattle."

The Cowboys worked in seven rushes from quarterback Dak Prescott for 45 yards this weekend and according to Jones that is something we should see moving forward.

"You know, it's a mixed bag. You hate to expose him more, but it's such a dimension. ... We are going to use Dak and we should. These games are so important to us," Jones said. "Dak does such a good job throwing on the move...that run-pass option is a key part of the game today and Dak can really do it well, so we're going to use him."

Tavon Austin scored on a 64-yard touchdown pass in the games first drive and Jones had good things to say about Austin. "Tavon Austin is an outstanding athlete. We're going to use him in a lot of different ways and we should," Jones said. "He can be a great decoy and he can't be a decoy if you don't use him that way."

On Josh Gordon, Jones said the team did their due diligence, "you can rest assured that every player that's available, especially one with the skill set that he's got, is under scrutiny," said Jones. "Personnel is just an all day job every day. ...We are going to continue to be looking at possibilities as long as they keep coming available to the league."

As for Brice Butler, he announced on social media Tuesday that he was coming back to the Cowboys.
