Jerry Jones On Playoff Chances: Every Loss Will Be A Real Hurdle To Overcome

November 16, 2018 - 11:20 am

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones knows that his team has some work to do if they want to get into the playoffs. At 4-5, Dallas has little margin for error the rest of the way and will have to win some difficult games remaining on their schedule.

"Every loss will be a real hurdle to overcome, from here on out, to get in the playoffs," Jones said Friday on 105.3 The Fan.

Dallas is currently tied with the Philadelphia Eagles and is two games behind the Washington Redskins in the NFC East. The Cowboys head to Atlanta this Sunday to take on the Falcons, followed by games against Washington, New Orleans, Philadelphia, Indianapolis, Tampa Bay and New York (Giants).

As Jones said in the interview, the team must take it one game at a time, starting with Atlanta this week.

Dallas has some major concerns heading into the game on the defensive line as Antwaun Woods, Taco Charlton, David Irving and Daniel Ross all didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday. They did get some good news as Maliek Collins was able to participate in a limited capacity Thursday.

Jones was asked about the status of some of those players and said he expects Collins to play, while Charlton could "maybe" give it a go. Jones added that Irving doesn't look like he's going to be able to play.

You can hear Sunday's game starting with the pregame show at 9 a.m. on 105.3 The Fan.
