DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - After not practicing outside leading up to their game in Foxboro two weeks ago, Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett is preparing not to make the same mistake again.

Garrett revealed to the media Sunday that the team would practice outside rather than inside the Ford Center at The Star to help players get prepared for this Thursday's game in Chicago.

The head coach then appeared on 105.3 The Fan Monday morning and informed Shan and RJ that they'd practice outside today, as well.

When asked to clarify at his press conference with the media Monday why they'd practice outside today, Garrett said, "we've done this before," before adding that it was also important to practice on a grass field.

Garrett has yet to answer why he elected not to practice outside when North Texas was experiencing wet and cool weather the week of their matchup with the Patriots.

The weather Thursday at Soldier Field is calling for temperatures to be in the 30's with a 10 percent chance of some precipitation. Today's forecast in North Texas is calling for a high of 57 degrees.
