Report: Jaguars Won't Pursue Dez Bryant Despite Losing Lee For The Season

August 27, 2018 - 11:31 am

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan/AP) - The Jacksonville Jaguars won't be going to the free agent market to replace Marqise Lee, who suffered a season-ending knee injury over the weekend.

According to Ed Werder, the Jags will not pursue former Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant or any other free agent receivers to fill Lee's void in their receiving core.

Werder reports that Jacksonville feels "good" about the rest of the receivers on the roster that includes Donte Moncrief, Dede Westbrook, Keelan Cole and rookie D.J. Chark.

It's the second time in as many years Jacksonville has lost their No. 1 receiver to a knee injury.

The Jags lost Allen Robinson in last year's regular-season opener. Robinson signed with Chicago in free agency.
