Fan Grades: Dallas Cowboys Vs New Orleans Saints

November 30, 2018 - 4:04 pm

Here is how The Fan hosts graded the Dallas Cowboys in the win over the Saints:

Cowboys Offense: (B-) Obviously you want more points and you want zero turnovers, but let's keep in mind how great of a job the offense did in playing their style of game. This was a 3 point game, and I think it needs to be remembered that on the final 3 points of the first half for the Cowboys, that drive started on their own 2-yard line.

Cowboys Defense: (A+) One of the greatest defensive performances I've seen in the last 15 years.

Cowboys Special Teams: (B) The Gregory penalty makes it a B, otherwise it would have been an A. Kavon Frazier covering punts is so fun to watch. Maher good. Take away the Gregory roughing the kicker penalty and it was a great night.

Cowboys Offense: (B+) Would have loved to see them connect a few more times in the second half, but they owned time of possession and fed Zeke. They played at the perfect pace to control this game.

Cowboys Defense: (A++) I said early this season that this defense was a championship caliber unit and got yelled at to slow my roll. The LB's prepare in a Sean Lee fashion and the DL has the heart of a lion. The secondary was fantastic too.

Cowboys Special Teams: (B) Didn't do anything wrong really. Didn't do anything exceptional either.

Cowboys Offense: (B) Was on track for a solid A after the first half, but couldn't put the game away early in the 4th and unit lacks the killer instinct/execution you'd like to see.

Cowboys Defense: (A++++) Even the normal grading system can't contain how awesome this defense was Thursday night! Cowboys defense can now be called Elite!!

Cowboys Special Teams: (C+) Meh ... and seriously, when was the last play the return or cover unit made of any impact. That is gonna matter at some point.
