DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Ezekiel Elliott doesn't appear to be too thrilled that his coronavirus diagnois became public knowledge.

The Cowboys running back tweeted, "HIPPA??" in response to the NFL Network reporting Monday morning that he had tested positive for the virus.

In response to his tweet, several fans pointed out that his own agent had leaked the information to Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero. To which Elliott responded by saying that his agent only confirmed the story after it had come out publicly.

According to 105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher, "HIPAA requires 'covered entities' (hospitals, doctors, insurance companies) to keep 'health information' private. HIPAA doesn't say anything about 'sports agents.'

Doctor David Chao (Pro Football Doc) confirmed Fish's statement when he tweeted that the only way HIPAA law was violated if if someone involved in "the medical care chain" is the person responsible for leaking the information to the media.
