Dez Bryant To Visit Browns Next Week

August 09, 2018 - 5:03 pm

UPDATE (7:06 p.m.):

Dez Bryant responded to Cleveland Browns general manager John Dorsey on twitter by saying that he "wouldn't mind playing for the browns. I just want to be right first."

Dorsey told Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot that Bryant hadn't returned his calls.

After his initial tweets, Bryant sent out another one saying that he was taking visits next week and would be going to Cleveland.

"Starting my visits next week...I’m coming to the Land to see you Mr Dorsey."

When contacted by 105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher, the free agent reciever confirmed he would be visiting the Browns.

"I’ve got this. I have a plan. Next week I want to go and visit the Browns," Bryant told Fish.

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Former Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant doesn't appear to be in any hurry to sign with the Cleveland Browns.

According to Mary Kay Cabot with Cleveland.com, Bryant hasn't returned the Browns phone calls.

General Manager John Dorsey told Cabot that Bryant would be brought in next week "if he returns a phone call ... He won't return any phone calls."

Dorsey informed Cabot that other receivers would be coming in next week to help fill the sudden void the Browns have at the position.

Josh Gordon remains away from the team to deal with personal issues and former first-round pick Corey Coleman was traded to the Buffalo Bills this week for a 7th round pick.

Not even two days after Coleman was traded, rookie receiver Antonio Callaway was cited for marijuana possession and for suspicion of driving with a suspended license.
