DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Former Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant is still without a contract as the third week of the preseason is just a day away from kicking off.

To this point in the offseason, the Cleveland Browns are the only team to publicly express an interest in Bryant. The Cowboys franchise leader in touchdown receptions visited the Browns last week but he left without a contract.

Could he be waiting for an opportunity with another team before having to make a decision on whether to sign with Cleveland? If you saw his Instagram yesterday, you'd think so.

Bryant commented on a Bleacher Report video that praised New England Patriots' head coach Bill Belichick.

"BB STRATEGY IS 1 in a million...," Bryant said. "Tom Brady has always been my favorite player.. real fact."

According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Patriots released Kenny Britt on Wednesday, possibly opening the door for Bryant.

New England recently signed Erick Decker to a receiving core that includes Julian Edelman (suspended 4 games), Chris Hogan, Phillip Dorsett and Cordarrelle Patterson.
