Cowboys Trainer Believes Jaylon Smith's Leg Still Has Room To Improve

August 20, 2018 - 4:09 pm

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - Cowboys linebacker Jaylon Smith is resembling the player he once was at Notre Dame more and more in the preseason.

Smith has been flying around the field in practice and in the team's first two preseason games, renewing a hope among the fans that he can be a key contributor to the Cowboys defense this season.

According to Cowboys COO Stephen Jones, trainer Britt Brown believes he hasn't reached his full potential with the healing of the nerve in his left leg.

"Believe it or not, Britt says (Jaylon) he has some room to improve a little more. He's not 100 percent yet but I think he's hitting in those 90's now," Jones told the GBAG Nation on 105.3 The Fan. "But he does think he's still got some room in terms of the actual injury itself to get better."
