Cowboys Playoff Picture Following Win Over Eagles

December 10, 2018 - 11:42 am

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - With their win over the Eagles Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys are in prime position to win the NFC East.

The Cowboys have a two-game lead over the Eagles and Redskins with three games to play. And because the Cowboys swept the Eagles this season, they own the head-to-head tiebreaker over Philadelphia.

How can Dallas clinch the division: The Cowboys simply need to win one of their final three games to win the division and clinch a playoff berth. Dallas can also clinch the division with an Eagles and Redskins loss in one of their final three games.

No. 3 seed in play: Dallas is currently a game back of the Chicago Bears for the third seed in the NFC playoff race. Chicago (NFC record: 7-2) also holds the tiebreaker over Dallas (NFC Record: 7-3) because they have a better conference record. However, Dallas can win the 3-seed outright if the Bears lose two of their final three games and the Cowboys win their games against Tampa Bay and New York.
