DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys, quarterback Dak Prescott, and his agent Todd France met to discuss the quarterback's contract standing on Wednesday, ending a nearly five-month lull in the negotiations which last took place in September of 2019.

Michael Gehlken of The Dallas Morning News was first to report the meeting.

According to Gehlken, the meeting lasted approximately 30 minutes, and Prescott was not the only player whose standing France was discussion.

Defensive tackle Maliek Collins, who is also represented by France, was also brought up in the meeting. Collins is set to become an unrestricted free agent on March 18th.

With the current CBA still in flux, there are no decisions expected to be made until things become more clear between the players and owners, however, meaning the wait could extend for quite some time.

The Cowboys have until March 12th to decide whether or not to place the Franchise Tag on Prescott.
