Cole Beasley, Blake Jarwin Questionable For Saturday

January 10, 2019 - 6:13 pm

FRISCO (105.3 The Fan) - Earlier this week, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said that he was "very positive" wide receiver Cole Beasley would play against the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday night. Fast forward two days later and his chances of playing are waning.

Dallas listed both Beasley and tight end Blake Jarwin as questionable for the playoff game with ankle injuries after they missed all three practices this week.

Per 105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher, Tavon Austin would work as the Cowboys slot receiver if Beasley isn't able to go. Austin has been getting the reps in practice all week.

As for Jarwin, Fish says his sprained ankle is more serious than the Cowboys are letting on and is in real danger of missing Saturday. Rookie tight end Dalton Schultz is the next man up if Jarwin is unavailable.

When it comes to the Cowboys other injuries, Connor Williams is expected to start at left guard after Xavier Su'a-Filo was limited in practice all week with an ankle injury.

Defensive lineman David Irving was the only player the team listed as being out.
