DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Stars will once again be without their starting goaltender after Ben Bishop went down Sunday with another lower body injury.

Bishop was injured as he was making a save in the first period of the Stars 4-2 loss to the Winnipeg Jets.

The loss moved Dallas out of a playoff spot after the Anaheim Ducks win over the New Jersey Devils vaulted them into the final spot in the Pacific standings, pushing the L.A. Kings into the final wild card spot.

The Stars and Kings currently have 84 points, however, L.A. has a game in hand. The Colorado Avalanche, currently in the first wildcard spot, have 86 points. The Avalanche also have a game in hand on the Stars.

Bishop recently missed five games with a left knee injury. It's not known if the netminder re-aggravated that injury, but replays showed the injury occurred to his left leg.

The Stars say he'll be re-evaluated in two weeks. He'll likely miss six of the team's final nine games.

Dallas has recalled Mike McKenna from the Texas Stars of the AHL to back up Kari Lehtonen.
