Adrian Beltre Activated From Disabled List, Starting Tuesday

ARLINGTON (105.3 The Fan) - The Texas Rangers activated Adrian Beltre from the disabled list and have inserted him into the starting lineup for tonight's game against the Detroit Tigers.

Beltre will start at third base and hit fourth.

This comes just one day after general manager Jon Daniels told 105.3 The Fan that Beltre could return Tuesday or Wednesday.

"(He) had a good day running the bases out there today," Daniels said of Beltre's impending return. Most guys  (with a hamstring injury) we'll send out on a rehab assignment. With Adrian, certainly, we've reached a point where when know him well and he knows himself well enough and it probably won't be necessary."

Daniels also told the Ben and Skin Show that Rougned Odor is expected to return this week.

"He's gonna go out with Round Rock starting tomorrow (Tuesday) for a few days. We're kind of hoping he's going to be ready by this weekend in Houston. (That's) a realistic goal for him," Daniels added when asked about Odor's potential return.

Beltre was on the disabled list since April 25 with a strained left hamstring, while Odor has been out since April 10 with a more severe hamstring strain.
