DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - Nobody ever thought Country House would win the Kentucky Derby at odds of 65-1.

And on the heels of that improbable victory on Saturday, former Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo is an even longer shot at the AT&T Byron Nelson, which opens Thursday at Trinity Forest Golf Club in Dallas.

According to odds posted at The SuperBook at Westgate Las Vegas, Romo, who got into the Nelson on a sponsor's exemption, is listed at 10,000-1 to win the tournament.

Among the various other wagering opportunities on Romo, he is 18-1 to make the cut this week.  The over/under on his score in Thursday's opening round is 77.5.

It will be the second PGA Tour event for Romo, who competed in the 2018 Corales Puntacana Resort and Club Championship, and missed the cut.  His best round in that event was a 77.

According to, three-time major champion Brooks Koepka is a clear favorite in the Nelson, at 13-2.  Dallas native Jordan Spieth is listed at 18-1.
