DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The last time the Texas Longhorns and the Alabama Crimson Tide met on the football field was during the 2010 BCS National Championship game. That game didn't work out for the Longhorns, but they are hoping their luck changes in 2022 and 2023.

The universities have scheduled a home-and-home series for the 2022 and the 2023 season. The Alabama Crimson Tide will travel to Darrel K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin and take on the Texas Longhorns on September 10th, 2022. The Texas Longhorns will then head to Bryant-Denny Stadium in Tuscaloosa Alabama to take on the Crimson Tide on September 9th, 2023.

The Texas owns the series between Alabama with seven wins, one loss and one tie. The largest margin of victory for Texas came in 1915 when they beat Alabam 20-0. The last times the two teams met Alabama won 37-21 at the Rose Bowl and took home the 2010 BCS National Championship.

Over the next ten years, Texas is set to play non-conference games with Alabama, LSU, Arkansas, Michigan, and Ohio State.
