DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has called the reports of the team looking to take the playcaller status away from coach Scott Linehan "completely false."

On his weekly show with The Fan's Shan & RJ, Jones responded to a report that duing the bye week, the Cowboys front office was considering taking away the playcalling dueies away from Linehan.

“Completely false. Totally false" said Jones. "That was never a discussion. Never a thought, on my part…that did not happen."

Jerry's comments were similar to COO Stephen Jones' answer on The Fan.

Jones also commented that Oklahoma University coach Lincoln Riley, a possible target as the team's new coach to replace Jason Garrett, is an impressive coach but to link him to Cowboys is total speculation.

"That was totally drawn out of the air" said Jones. "I think that Coach Riley is outstanding. It doesn't surprise me because of proximity and his success but it's total speculation."
