Jerry Jones Says Cowboys QB Dak To Get "Extended" Following Loss

November 06, 2018 - 9:48 am

DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - Appearing on his weekly show on The Fan, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was not shy about expressing his disappointment following the team's loss to the Tennessee Titans, but dropped a bomb about his star quarterback.

Saying that both sides of the ball need work after a huge loss to the Titans and calling the game a "bitter pill", Jones said that quarterback Dak Prescott will be "extended" when asked if he was the future of the team.

"Dak (Prescott) is the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, he's young and he's going to get extended" said Jones.

Before the Dak question was asked, Jones heaped some praise on the QB saying "I think Dak is basically, very capable, completely capable of looking at what the situation is."

Before the big Dak news, Jones said that the team needed to play better, but that now is not the time to be changing philosophies, to change concepts on offense and defense.

“This business of how we operate, what we do, how the decisions are made with the Dallas Cowboys, anybody that thinks that it’s any different and I’m ultimately not making the decisions has to think twice. I do make the ultimate decisions there” said Jones.
