Final Lottery Odds: Where Did The Mavs Finish?

April 11, 2019 - 10:30 am

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The concerns of where the Mavericks would finish in lottery standings fell by the wayside in the last several days because everyone was focused on some German dude.

So, since you completely forgot about it while you were celebrating the legend, here's how things ended:

Dallas finished in a three-way tie with the New Orleans Pelicans and Memphis Grizzlies for the 7th worst record in the league.

According to Tankathon, The Mavs have a 26.3% chance of getting a top-4 pick and a 6% chance of landing the No. 1 overall selection.

Should Dallas not land in the top-4, their pick will be sent to Atlanta to complete last year's draft-day trade for prized rookie Luka Doncic. The pick the Mavericks sent to Atlanta along with the rights to another top-flight rookie, Trae Young, was top-5 protected. However, with the way the lottery rules work, the Mavs have no shot at landing the No. 5 overall pick.
