Dez: "Jerry Is Right" Cowboys Haven't Had True #1 WR In Years

October 09, 2018 - 2:04 pm

DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - Reacting to the comments from Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones about the team not having a 'number one wide reciever' in years, ex-Cowboy Dez Bryant agrees.

Tuesday morning on The Fan, Jones was talking about the Cowboys passing game and lack of big plays in the loss to the Texans, he said that every team in the NFL doesn’t have a number one WR, including the Cowboys. And they haven't in a number of years.

"That hasn’t been our case here for several years now…not a true number one” said Jones. “My definition of a #1 receiver, it is Julio Jones, it is DeAndre (Hopkins). There are not a lot of those guys around the NFL."

Former wide reciever Dez Bryant responded on twtitter saying, "I was never schemed into things I made things happened (sic) through out my career," adding "they had J. Witten as our #1 so Jerry is right."
