DALLAS (105.3 THE FAN) - The Dallas Mavericks have re-signed backup center Salah Mejri Sunday morning.

Mejri was waived on Wednesday, when the Mavericks traded Harrison Barnes for Justin Jackson and Zach Randolph, in order to make a roster spot for the trade to work.

Mejri was signed with the Mavericks in 2015 and has averaged 3.2 points on 63 percent shooting, 3.9 rebounds and one block in 11.6 minutes per game.

During the 2015-2016 season, Mejri was a teammate of Mavericks rookie Luka Doncic on Real Madrid for six months. Mejri also spent some time in the Tunisian Basketball League.
