Dallas Mavericks-Miami Heat Trade Nixed

June 30, 2019 - 8:38 pm

UPDATE (10:20 p.m.) - The trade is off, according to 105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher.

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Mavericks didn't acquire Goran Dragic after all, according to Marc Stein.

Several reports claimed Dallas had acquired the Slovenian point guard in a three-team trade that netted Miami Jimmy Butler. However, the deal abruptly changed to include Kelly Olynyk & Derrick Jones Jr. instead of Dragic.

According to 105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher, something is amiss here as Miami needs to shed more salary then just Josh Richardson (going to Philadelphia), Olynyk and Jones to be able to acquire Butler.

This is a strange turn of events and we're trying to get to the bottom of it. Stay tuned.
