Dallas Cowboys Have Acquired Wide Receiver Tavon Austin From LA Rams

DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys have traded for wide receiver Tavon Austin from the Los Angeles Rams.

105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher is reporting that Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones mentioned the possiblilty of tradng for a veteren wide reciever yesterday:

The 8th overall pick in the 2013 NFL draft is now a Cowboy. The Cowboys sent the Rams back a 6th round pick, 192 overall, in the 2018 NFL draft.

Currently, the Cowboys wide receiving corp consists of Austin, Allen Hurns, Terrance Williams, Cole Beasly, Ryan Switzer, Michael Gallup, Noah Brown, Lance Lenior, KD Cannon, and Deonte Thompson.

Last season, Austin only had 13 receptions for 47 yards with the Rams. He has 194 receptions, 1,689 yards, and 12 touchdowns for his career.

According to Spotrac, if Austin makes the 2018 Cowboys roster he will count $3 million against the cap. Austin took a pay cut in March.
