DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys have agreed to a deal with All-Pro guard Zack Martin, according to 105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher.

Martin and Dallas reached a six-year, $84 million deal with $40 million guarenteed. The deal makes Martin the highest-paid guard in the NFL, surpassing the $66.5 million, five-year deal Jacksonville's Andrew Norwell signed in March.

Martin skipped all nine voluntary offseason workouts while negotiations that started about a year ago kept dragging. But he was on the field after the club and his representatives got close on a deal over the weekend.

In addition to the one-year remaining on Martin's contract, the right guard is now on the books for the next seven seasons at a total of $93 million.

When asked by Fish if Martin wanted to do another press conference after meeting with the media yesterday, "I think I'm good for a while," he said while laughing.

Martin was the Cowboys 16th overall pick in 2014 out of Notre Dame. He's a two-time All-Pro and a four-time Pro Bowler.
